Some things I am thinking about today.

People at the top, business, government often fail to think about those at the bottom. I am talking about the lower level worker, the factory worker, the office clerk, the convenience store clerk. Without the base, the foundation, the building collapses. It's the people who do what some call menial jobs that make the country run as well as it does. I have worked with a lot of managers, supervisors, company presidents that could not do the jobs that those below them do every day, not all were that way, but most were.
America has been built by people on factory floors, and secretaries that keep executives on the ball, informed and ran more than operations than executives ever realized. Where would the country be without convenience stores or baristas (who may intimidate some people with their coffee knowledge) that serve us our coffee on the way to work every morning. What about retail clerks that make the transactions that give us the things we want to look good, get us our new computer, make us smell nice, hand over our I-phones, check out our groceries to sustain our very lives?
What about the fire and EMT guys and gals that save our lives? What about the air flight pilots that saved Joyce's life nearly a year ago now? Don't forget the police and highway patrol departments around the country. We may not like them when they issue a ticket for our excessive speeds, but when there is a problem with our car on the side of a highway and a policeman or highway patrolman stops to help us, then we like them.
