We were sitting today thinking about our time in California. In 1966 on our first time there it was as Martin Mull once said, "California is like high school with money." The sixties (my opinion) were the golden days in the golden state.
In 73 were were back there living on Coronado. We had an apartment 2 minutes walk to the ocean and 15 minutes walk to San Diego bay.
In 77 we were back there and had 2 minutes to the bay and 15 to the ocean. Best of all our apartment on "D" street was right behind a liquor store on Orange avenue, so if I couldn't drive, I would walk out the back gate and be in the liquor store's parking lot. It was MargaritaVille every Friday night.
