Stuxnet is a software worm that attacks Programmable Logic Controllers. PLC's they are called. Stuxnet was used to destroy Iranian centrifuges used to create uranium for nuclear weapons. Now it is floating around the world, waiting to attack whatever devices use a PLC.
PLC's are used in our American car manufacturing plants, they are used here to control operations in our nuclear power plants and electrical generating plants, just to name the biggest operations that use them. They also work in countless other factories. Here is another example of something released into the world that cannot be taken back. No one knows where this may go.
I have been concerned about artificial intelligence for a while and Stuxnet is a close second, maybe even more dangerous.
