Black Walnuts

I had tried for years to plant black walnuts. I would gather five gallon buckets full of them from the trees on the farm here about. No matter what I did here, none ever came up. Then about 1995 I quit and decided I did not know how to properly set those walnuts to make them grow into trees. I quit brush hogging  the pastures. Now 20 years later, after the squirrels were allowed to bury hundreds of them I have black walnut trees coming up everywhere on the farm. I have so many coming up I have to mow some down to keep my paths around the farm clear. It all seems amazing to me how this has happened, but I am not complaining.
