Wednesday May 27, 2015 I got to change out a sump pump yesterday. The new
pump was bigger and more powerful and its assembly required pipe wrenches, pipe
dope, pipe glue and other big tools. I felt so manly I was beginning to have an
erection. The only down side in this project was removing the old pump. The old
pump had been immersed in dirty water for over 10 years and was encrusted in
filth. And well, there went the erection. These days when I tackle a job that
only comes around every decade I wonder if I will be around or able to do it
again. When I muse over my bucket list, changing a sump pump never seems to be
on the list.
