Rainfall

Rain falling in sheets

Running off the streets

Making puddles in the drive

Making nature come alive

I have never been a fan of a rainy day

I spend them hoping the rain will go away

Without rain the earth would dry

But I still prefer a clear crisp sky

Lightning strikes do terrify

Though I do not know why

Of course to me tornados are very scary

Whenever warnings are out I’m very wary

I think I’m too old to lose my home

I don’t know where I would roam

So whenever rain clouds fill the sky

I always hope they will pass me by
