Respite

The rain has fallen from the sky
so much at once I know not why
for a moment the sun came out
I had go out and walk about
I took these pictures for you to see
then forgot, what's wrong with me?
I framed the scene, followed through to near end
then I somehow managed to forget to hit send
Days and days of rain make me crazy
Days of inactivity out back make me lazy
I want to be able to walk around
I want to walk this hallowed ground
leaves once again fill the trees
grass grows tall up to my knees
My time left here shrinks by the day
I want to spend each moment in my own way
