Life is like a roll of toilet paper, the older you get, the faster it goes until you reach the end.
Some would say that older you get the luckier you are. Those are all young people, elders would never say that. I have been lucky, until I fell and cracked my hip. That was August 15th. Now on July 29 I can walk unassisted, but there's still a tinge of pain in every step, especially in the morning with my first steps.
I wanted to check and see how far I could walk, so I walked to my local grocery store yesterday morning, loaded up with needed items and then walked home with an extra 10 pounds in my backpack. I made the trip okay, but I was exhausted for the rest of my day. It was I suppose frivolous for me to do that, but it showed me that I can be self dependent when that time comes.

250729 Life at 80
This was me at Disneyland in 1957. The park wasn't officially open and many of the rides weren't completed.I was on the ferry boat to the western island.
I never thought I would be this old.
