250714 Farm Pictures

Joyce and I on the back deck of the farm house in 1997.
I took a lot of pictures on the farm, almost all of them, I can’t find.

These are a few I did find.

This was our home.

One of our lambs.
The lambs had all the fur they needed so winter didn’t bother them in the least.
This was our patio water feature along with various plants.
Monarch butterfly. One day when they were on their way back to the mountains of Mexico for the winter they stopped for the night in an elm tree by the house. The tree was filled with monarchs from top to bottom. I did not have a camera at that time, so I missed the best snapshot of all time.
One spring shot of a rainbow at the edge of our driveway.
Overhead view of the farm in 1996.

  2. One of the reasons we sold it was we were getting old and we wanted to be close to hospitals and doctors as needed. The kids wanted the farm, but only for having fun, not for keeping the farm running. They did not like us moving and selling. One nice thing about selling the farm, we doubled what we paid for it . As it turned out, if we had stayed on the farm, Joyce would have died when she had her first brain aneurysm before I could have gotten her to the hospital. Being in town, the ambulance got her to the hospital in time for them to stabilize her. She got to live another 3 years before a second aneurysm caused her death. I still miss her every day of my life.
