250128 AI Friend or Foe

Another Post on Artificial Intelligence, this one is not good for our future.

I’ve warned you before about AI. I was looking back this morning and found several posts I have written about AI. The posts go back several years.

I found out yesterday that in each of the years 2021, 2022 and 2023 more than 1.5 million high tech gurus each of those years in the U.S. that worked creating computer code to further develop AI have been let go because the AI they developed has made the techs no longer necessary.

Okay, now who will be next on the AI chopping block? How about managers in different companies? AI could replace them and run those businesses.

How about assembly line workers? Robots have already replaced many of them. The next step could be all of those workers.

Grocery stores already have what amounts to checkout clerks. My local Walmart used to have 20 lanes with humans there to check and collect payment. I was there 3 days ago. Now there are 2 checkout lanes with humans and there are 30 self checkout places. I suppose they are controlled by AI.
My local Aldi grocery store used to have 4 check out stations manned every day. Now there is 1 human to check out groceries and that 1 human is doing other things and only goes to the register for old people who don’t know how to self check their groceries. There are 5 self checkout stations and sometimes I have to wait until someone finishes so I can self check my groceries.

My point is, AI is going to eliminate perhaps 80-90% of human jobs in this country. Now how are Americans going to pay their house payments, monthly rents, doctor’s visits, car payments etc. There’s nothing I know of to stop this horror story.

I was about to end this piece, when another thought came to mind. The ultra wealthy who have become billionaires on the backs of the American workers may find themselves in a pickle. When there are no more jobs for American workers, then there will no longer be money coming into their coffers. AI has eliminated jobs for workers, so what do the oligarchs do? I guess they’ll go to war with each other. Then one will come out on top and become the King of the U.S.A. However, even that is a problem. There is no longer a U.S.A, the oligarchs destroyed it!

The population has perished from disease and starvation. America has become a wasteland of destruction, no one is left.
