250122 Monoliths and Drones and Mad Magazine

Monoliths and Drones and MAD Magazine.

The first time I ever heard of a monolith was in an Arthur C Clark book titled “The Sentinel,” As a side note, you readers from way back in the nineties may remember my posts under the title “The Sentinel News.” That was inspired by the A. C. Clark book.

In his book “The Sentinel” an astronaut goes to explore the moon. The moon is a desolate place and all he finds is a huge Monolith. He is stunned by his find and later he travels back to earth to tell his findings. The book was published in 1951.

Yesterday I was watching YouTube and there was a video story of a recent discovery of a huge monolith in a remote canyon in the state of Utah. It was an impressive thing to see.

That sparked my interest, so I searched for more examples. What I found was strange monoliths have been appearing all over the USA and countries around the world. They have become popular with people and now they are making their own monoliths. Of course the homemade ones are easily distinguishable from the mystery monoliths. No one knows where the mystery monoliths came from. I believe this is one more sign that our extraterrestrial neighbors are preparing to come down and visit. I hope it is a friendly gesture. If the military fires on them (as they no doubt will), well the human race may be decimated.

I imagine we have all heard about the mysterious drones flying overnight, first in New Jersey, later New York and finally over the entire country. Apparently the drones were over other countries too. The military said they were not a threat, but they did not know where they came from. I don’t know how they can say there is no threat when the military knows nothing about them.

My friends, I have a lot of questions, but no answers for them. 2025 may well become a year that goes down in history as the year the world changed. I’m assuming that we will all be here after 2025. As some of you will remember the old days when MAD magazine was published (I loved reading it) there was a character Alfred E. Newman who always said, “What, Me Worry?” I’m with Alfred on this one, “What Me Worry?”
One last note Mad Magazine began in 1952 and ran until April of 2018. Sadly I did not know that or I would have subscribed to it.
