Global warming, fact or fiction
This first chart shows how the intensity of tropical storms (precursors to hurricanes) has increased and along with that property damage occurs.
According to NOAA climate change.gov the rate of glacier loss has increased from 9 inches per year in the eighties to 17 inches per year in the nineties to 36 inches per year since 2010-2021. If this continues New York’s Manhattan will be under water; the so-called fabulous Miami Beach, Florida area will be under water.
People can deny the facts as long as they want, just as the people on the Titanic were busy rearring chairs on the lido deck as they denied that the ship could sink.
This next chart shows power consumption in our country. Note how the power dissipation has started ramping up and where the projected dissipation is headed. Power comes from fossil fuels and burning fossil fuels increases atmospheric warming.
Many people across the nation, several that I know personally deny global warming or have said this today is just part of a long cyclical warming/cooling cycle. I personally believe this is different than the normal cyclical changes and below is why I believe global warming is happening.
