The Sentinel, Grand 201109

Has there ever been a day like today in November?

The sun is shining; the breeze is blowing and it is most comfortable at 77 degrees, oops now 78 degrees. Joyce and I went shopping and bought ever more Christmas decorations and we are in full swing putting up a tree, well actually 2 trees up along with decorating our humble abode with everything Christmas. It is simply delightful and will continue for a day or several days as we put the final touches up and then there is always the period following with shifting and rearranging things.
Time is on our side at the moment and when we think about it, does anybody really know what time it is? We only have this moment for sure, the past is gone and the future may or may not come for either of us. Anything could happen, a heart stroke, a coma that is the last conscious thing we ever remember. Life is grand when we live in the moment because the moment is all we have and with each passing moment what we just had is now in the past.
I write this in the best and happiest way possible. If we live each day like it was our last, then each day is a day for celebration of a life well lived. The good times, the bad times all brought us to where we are today. They are only memories at this point. And speaking of memories I am happy to report I can actually remember what we had to eat yesterday and this morning! For a while that took some concentration.
Every day is a little brighter if we choose to make it that way.
