Sentinel, Into the Jaws of Death, 200914

These days in time while many of us are sheltering in place and social distancing, many are rushing into a potentially deadly situation. I am writing about doctors, nurses (angels on earth), firemen, emergency medical technicians, nurse's aides, policemen/women. It's not just a once in a lifetime event, but rather day after day of long hours and never knowing if they have contracted a virus from any of dozens of patients or people in emergency situations. A first responder doesn't stop and ask if someone has symptoms of the virus, that person may be unconscious and unable to answer. Whatever the situation, they do their job and do it well. Those mentioned above deserve our admiration for what they are doing 24 hours every day.

They may not be facing bullets or bombs, but the grim reaper has no concern about how or why he shows up to take a life away. He just fulfils his purpose.
