Your Sentinel Horrific Nursery Rhymes 200629

The Sentinel

All the news that's fit to print and some that's not.

3 Blind Mice

3 blind mice, such a horror to a young child!

Three blind mice see how they run

They all ran after the farmer's wife

She cut off their tails with a carving knife

Did you ever see such a sight in your life

As three blind mice

For those who remember, this was the theme song in all the 3 stooges short movies. I always wondered how many children had their eyes poked out after watching the antics of the stooges.

Ring around the Rosies

This delightful ditty refers to the plague of 1665 that killed half of the European population.

Ring around the Rosies

Pocket full of Posies

A tissue, a tissue

we all fall down

The rosies referred to the rosy completion that led to a cough right before people died.

Do we really want our children to think about that?

Santa Claws?

He sees you when you're sleeping,

he knows when you're awake,

he knows when you've been bad or good,

so be good for goodness sake.

Think about that for a minute. How could that scare a child to know someone is watching them 24 hours a day and recording everything they do.

I never thought about that before, but then that is just me. If children comprehend that one, they would be scared.
