Mother's Day This day brings out mixed emotions to older people like me. I have a lovely wife who happens to be a wonderful mother and makes me proud of her every day. At the same time, we both miss our own mothers, both of which were wonderful, loving, dedicated women and mothers with multiple children. Mother's day is, as I have read, the biggest day for phone calls every year. It seems like mothers get more calls today than fathers get in June and I can understand that. There is a deeper connection between a mother and child that fathers cannot duplicate.
