Joyce talking 191209

Joyce is a wonderful woman; she is intelligent and I love her.

We were talking face to face today while listening to music. She began to talk and then she got around to academics. "They tend to think they are so smart that they are better than others. "Then she says, "okay you are so smart, so fix me some dinner. Pick me an orange, grow me some lettuce, hold my hand while I die."

Academics don't do those necessary jobs and without those who do those jobs where would we be?

My thinking, everyone is important, the garbage man, the janitor, the dish washer, the cook, the clerk, the foot soldier, the deck hand, the truck driver. These people are the foundation the pyramid is built upon. Without the foundation, a pyramid is nothing but a pointed bump in the ground.

Without the garbage man the streets would be impassible. Without the janitor, the offices of the top would be a mountain of filth. Without the dishwasher, there would be no plates for the top to dine upon, without the cook the top would starve, without the clerk, business would grind to a halt, without the foot soldier we would be speaking German or Arabic, without the deck hand none of the goods we buy from overseas would be in stores, without the truck driver the grocery stores and retail stores would be empty buildings.

Those mentioned above are the foundation of our society. Without them the pyramid would collapse.
