I think it is one of Tom Cruise's best. I am not a big fan of him, but this movie had some great scenes in it. One I enjoy is when Cruise and Kelly McGillis are on a motorcycle going by the old San Diego Broadway pier and the tuna boats were still in the bay there. Another one was the old San Diego airport with the cafeteria right on the flight line with no security between there and the tarmac. The last one is the scenes with the USS Enterprise (where I spent one cruise aboard) all of those scenes brought back many fine memories.
