Joyce's mother told her every time she did something that saved a dollar, she should put that dollar in a jar so she could see that dollar and realize how much she contributes to the family.
That reminded me of a story I saw on the internet many years ago. A wife started charging her husband $5 every time they had sex, from their wedding night on. After many years her husband started his own business, but soon after the business failed and he had to go to her and tell her they were bankrupt. She assured him that was not a problem because she had saved all the money she collected from their sexual congress over the years and she had $50,000 in the bank.
If only we had followed the second story, we would be wealthy beyond our wildest dreams.
