The First Robots 190111

      In 1954 the first robot was created by George Devol. In 1961 the first robot started working in a General Motors factory.

      That was the beginning. In 1956 the first movie to have a robot was "Forbidden Planet" with Robbie the robot. Robbie was a benign machine that helped everyone and was a lovable invention. Later in the first "Star Wars" movie R2D2 and C3PO were also lovable robots that had some very human characteristics. The internet brought robot crawlers that while not physical manifestations enabled us to find things on Google search engines. Today android robots are looking close to humans and acting like humans. They work in factories, they act as companions (and some are for less savory things) they can play games better than humans. The question is what will happen next?
