New notes 1807


      These men in the picture below were protesters, even considered traitors to the king of England, but they were brave men, facing death for what they did.

      Our current president calls anyone who protests his policies traitors and even un-American. But here's the deal, protesting is American as apple pie. Our government never likes it, but the right to free speech is what our fathers and grandfathers have fought wars to protect. The president pardoned two Oregon ranchers today who triggered armed conflict with the FBI that lasted for 41 days back in 2014, yet he calls Americans peacefully protesting his policies in the streets of America as Un-Americans. This is America and the right to peaceful protest is guaranteed in the constitution, while violent protests are not. So the question arises, why?
