We started going to Downstream Casino when it opened and had a lot of free rooms there for a long time. They always had free slot machine play once a week. It was usually $5 a week. On the 5th birthday of the casino they offered $15 for a week. We scheduled a free room for the last day of one week and the next morning we had another $15 free play. We would usually stay at Downstream but would go over to the Quapaw casino (owned by Downstream) to play cards. The day we checked in we went to the Downstream casino high roller's room just to use the $15 free play. I put a $5 bill into the slot machine of my choice to trigger the free play so I could use the $15. I had an old limp bill that as it went in it dipped down and dropped behind the bill reader, so I had nothing showing on the screen to begin play. I had to call for a slot machine tech to figure out what had happened. The casino was packed so I had to sit there, guard the machine and wait. By the time the tech got there and saw what happened, Joyce had already won $160. I quickly lost my $20 so we left for Quapaw. The next morning we got up and went to the casino to use the next $15 free play. I lost mine in 4 spins on the slot machine. I turned to get Joyce so we could go back to Quapaw and she already has another $160 and did one last spin and picked up another $20. Those were the good old days!
