Cosmos 1807

The beauty of the universe (in my mind) is that while everything changes, nothing is ever lost. Plants, animals, people die, they are not lost, but rather they are transformed into something else. A plant dies and then becomes fertilizer for the earth. An animal dies and becomes food for us or for scavengers. People die and the bodies transform into gas, minerals, chemicals and their souls, the best part, never dies. The soul is, I believe, part of the universal consciousness that has always existed. The earth may at some point transcend into cosmic dust, but the universal consciousness, which is not matter, will continue. All of the thoughts that ever were are still in that consciousness. Everything in the universe, changes every day. We do not notice it until the minor events become major events, even the universal consciousness is added to all of the time.
