I write this post from a scientific perspective and mean no disrespect toward any religious beliefs. This past weekend I watched some programs on the History channel. It being Easter they were about Jesus and the shroud of Turin and another cloth that was believed to cover his bloody face as he was buried.
This occurred to me. Scientists have DNA believed to be that of Jesus. Today we have the ability to clone any manner of creature just by using its DNA. What would happen if scientists used DNA to recreate Jesus? Could this be Jesus’s original plan, knowing that DNA could be used to recreate life, did he plan to let this happen so he could make his second coming and judge the world?
The fire and brimstone preachers have been selling books about the end of times since there has been paper to print them on. Perhaps the end of time is closer than we know. If scientists did clone Jesus from his DNA and he came back to life here we could quit asking the question, “What would Jesus do?” We would have him back and he could tell us exactly what to do in any modern situation.
One more thing on those shows that struck me was a short bit about the Gnostic Christians. Apparently they believe that heaven is right here on earth, but heaven exists in a different dimension. Heaven is all around us but we cannot sense or feel it. That is an interesting thought and it makes as much sense as mansions in the sky.
I just read a paper on multiple dimensions I said read it, did not understand it much. The gist of it is that multiple dimensions do exist, time travel is possible and maybe someday humans will figure out how to make it work.
