Living in the moment sounds so simple, after all isn’t that where we live? I for one wonder about that. To me living in the moment is also thinking in the moment, yet most of the time I am thinking about what I need to do next or thinking about the past. I try meditation, which is just sitting, clearing one’s mind and thinking about nothing else but breathing. It is very relaxing when accomplished, but oh so difficult to actually do. I have what Buddhists call monkey mind; there are countless thoughts that occupy me when I am sitting still and trying to clear my mind, thoughts about tomorrow, next week, next year.
