You cannot get a job cutting hair without passing a test and acquiring a license. You cannot get a job as a mechanic without passing a certification. You cannot work as an electrician without passing a test. You cannot be a plumber without passing a test. Lawyers, doctors, dentists, realtors, accountants, tax preparers all have to pass a test. All of these occupations require continuing education. The only jobs that do not require testing and further education that I can think of are retail clerks, used car salespeople and politicians. Now many politicians are lawyers, but the only qualifications for the presidency of the United States are 1. Natural born US citizen 2. Be at least 35 years old 3. Live in the US for at least 14 years. Is it just me or is there something wrong here?
