Breads, pies and flowering plants

A day or two ago Joyce got restless and made her own breads and an apple pie. They have been fantastic! There is one slice of pie left for me tonight and I can hardly wait to taste it.

Now here is one of our most beautiful day lilies. It shows up every year mid-way through June.

You who look at our flowers every year may still not remember this one. It is another steady plant that comes back year after year. It is actually an elephant garlic that grows over four feet high when it blooms. The garlic is very tasty.

We thought last winter killed this Nandina, but it came back strong and is just getting ready to bloom again.
