It’s that kind of day in November
Warmer than I can ever remember
Strong winds from the south about to meet
Cold front from north-west right at our feet
The weatherman is unable to tell
If this will come like a living hell
As I get older I must admit
Impending storms deal me a fit
When nature’s forces prepare to collide
They strike a note of fear deep inside
Around here I never know what will be
Rain, wind, tornado, sometimes all three
I have hours to wait and build up my fear
Not knowing what may be drawing near
Whatever happens is unavoidable for me
I just have to wait it out and see
