It is easy to know what I do know
But what about all that I do not know?
When I was 21, I thought I knew everything
At 66, I realize I know almost nothing
My knowledge, compared to all that is known in the world
Is perhaps akin to a single leaf in an F-5 tornado
Yet somehow I have survived
I often wonder which is better,
To think I know everything,
Or to realize I know so little
I offer scant advice these days
Because I know what I do not know
When I thought I knew everything
I offered solutions to every problem
Few, if any, listened then
Less I fear, would or should listen now
We, all of us share a world,
But all of us live in a different world
