Ethanol, Really?
I don't know who's idea it was,but ethanol fuels are a bad idea. The process uses a tremendous amount of ground water from the aquifer and pollutes the remainder. Corn prices have risen dramatically because of state requirements for ethanol mix in fuels and farmers grow more corn instead of wheat, raising wheat prices, making bread prices rise. Farmers who raise cattle or hogs have higher prices to feed, thereby raising meat prices. All this for a motor fuel that delivers less mileage per mile and is harmful to engines and raises the cost of fuel. Where are the benefits of ethanol? I do not see a single one.
