I’ve been noticing other old men around my age. Most of them are bent over and skinny. I looked in my mirror today and saw I’m standing straight and I’m getting fat! I’ve been fat back when Joyce was cooking in the eighties, nineties and into early 2006.
Then Joyce (who was always a big woman 220 pounds) had nearly died and ended up in a hospital in Saint Louis. Me and my daughter Annie went up to Saint Louis and stayed there for months as Joyce teetered on life and death every day. That was where I lost weight. I was down to my youthful weight of 135.
Now I’m 168 pounds, which is a little over the 160 pounds a 6 foot tall man should be. The bad thing is I’ve worked with weights and have put muscle in my arms and upper chest. My daily walking has kept my legs strong and thin.
The only problem is belly fat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the first time in my life, when I cinch up my belt and look down my belt is being covered by my belly.
I'm beginning to look like a clown with a normal chest and legs but a giant belly. I wonder why I don’t look skinny like all the rest of the old men. I do my own cooking, so I don’t eat big meals. I don’t eat candies or anything like ice cream. What the heck is going on?
