I started writing 65 years ago by writing poems to a girlfriend every day.

I’ve always loved poetry, even the simple rhymes that I compose. I enjoy writing poems. I don’t know how many I’ve written in the years since I first started putting pen to paper.

I started writing letters when I was aboard ship. I wrote to Joyce and other family members nearly every night. My grandpa wrote to me very often. He also sent stamps inside his letters so I would be able to send letters to the folks back home. My mother wrote frequently to me. In the 10 years and 8 months I was in the navy, my dad wrote 1 to me and that was a surprise.

I wrote my posts to a wider group when I worked at Litton in Springfield. I wrote a long series of posts in the “Maintenance Man series.” There were very many people at Litton reading the posts at Litton during working hours. The company shut down my access to their servers. So far I have written 2,724 posts since I started my blogs. There would even more had my posts transferred to google from a separate web server of my own. I tried to transfer them to google, but google would not allow them for some unknown reason.

My goal is to get to 3,000 posts on google alone. Had google allowed my posts from a private server I believe I would already be there.
