250710 The effects of weather

As time goes by, one thing we can be sure of is things change.

I know it’s the middle of summer, but I’m looking forward to fall. I’m not complaining about the current heat of summer, it’s great for me. I go out walking and relish the heat. This skinny old man with his poor circulation loves the warmth. I’m probably the only guy in this town that has yet to use his air conditioning.

It’s fall that I love most, seeing the change in colors. There are several maple trees here and the red leaves are stunning! Some of the birds are flocking together to head south for the upcoming winter season.

The winters are rough for me. I have trouble staying warm, even in my apartment. Going outside is a shiver fest for me. I have to have my yoga pants under my jeans. I wear a T-shirt, a shirt, a sweatshirt and a heavy coat. As long as the temperature is above freezing I can dress for that, below freezing temps are extremely harsh for me. Snow and ice are time for me to be inside. This old man doesn’t ever have another bad fall and going through what I have been suffering with since my falling this summer.

Spring is okay for me. My biggest problem is what to wear to stay comfortable because spring temps can change dramatically during the day. Around here we can have temps change so rapidly. It can be 80 degrees in the morning and then 30 degrees by nightfall. I shiver at the very thought of that.
