My hip pain is diminishing by the day and my ability to walk is getting better. Part of that is due to all the medications I’m taking. I don’t know one from another, but my daughter Annie knows what they are. She has been by my side since I came home a short time ago. I couldn’t be here without her. I never realized how well she would be as a nurse. She is my lifeline at the moment. At some point, I’ll be well enough and able to be by myself. When that time comes, I will miss her company. It’s nice to have someone living with me. I haven't had so much company since Joyce passed, nearly 4 years ago.
Once everything is settled here and I am alone again I hope to get back to regular posting and life before hip surgery.
Bill, I am so glad you are doing much better. I have been helping a friend who also fell and broke their kneecap. Falling is the thing I really worry about. But now that your pain is lessening, you will be able to take shorter, more frequent walks and build up the muscle again. When you are able, we will do lunch again.
ReplyDeleteSharon, I look forward to having lunch again. It has been a while since we got together. As soon as I'm able I'll let you know.

Take care my friend. Yes, daughters are great nurses and company.
ReplyDeleteDavid, my daughter has been so much help; I couldn't be home without her with me. She has been a nurse, an advisor and she knows all about the drugs I am having to take. She has had fibromyalgia for years and has to rely on the same drugs prescribed to me. She is also helping me with the pills I'm taking so there's no reliance on them as I run out of them. It's been so nice to have someone to talk to every day. I'll miss that when she's gone.

I am so glad you are on the mend. God bless
ReplyDeleteThank you Chuck. It's been tough going, but I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. I just hope it's not a train coming at me.
