250205 Panic AM

This scared me.

My internet router appeared to have quit. There were no lights to show it was working.
I got out my backup router and had to remember how to set it up. The backup didn’t work either.
Something was very wrong. It dawned on me that perhaps the circuit breaker for the room had tripped. I went to the power panel and sure enough the breaker was tripped.
I reset the breaker and the backup router worked, but it was terribly slow, not enough to make it worth using.
Then I realized if the backup worked, I should try the high speed router. I loaded it up and I thought my troubles were over.
I turned on my laptop and tried to start a program. All the laptop did was show it was trying to load a program but could not do it.
I panicked, thinking that when the router went out it fouled up my laptop! I wondered what the hell was happening?

And then the dim little light bulb in my brain lit up brightly when I noticed that my high speed router and the backup router were both trying to send me the data at the same time. The two of them were heterodyning, causing me to receive a jumbled mass of gibberish. I unplugged the backup router and bingo! I had a clear data signal at high speed.
My old brain still functions, but not like it used to. I do think that my panic set me back or I would have figured things out faster.
