Your earliest memory was living in a dark, dusty place. A woman found you and took care of you as you grew from baby to boy/girl to adult. The woman told you that you were living in what was called a cave. She left every day to find food for you to eat and brought water to drink. One day she left and never came back.
You started feeling thirsty and hungry after several days, so you left for the exit to find food and water. As you stepped outside the cave, you were nearly blinded because you had never seen day time. After a while, your eyes adjusted and you could see a world around you that you never knew existed. There were things growing up from the ground and they were all green. Some were short, while others had grown up toward the sky. You were amazed by the sight of them and liked them.
You continued to walk along a path and soon saw something never before seen. It was big, maybe 3 times as tall as you (it was a house). There was an opening so you went inside to see what was there. You didn’t see any dirt to sit down on, but there was a ledge to rest upon. Unlike the cave, this ledge was soft to sit on and it felt good.
Your thirst was satisfied by water there in a large container and there were berries to eat in a different container. There was no meat there to eat. You laid down on that soft ledge (a bed) and went to sleep.
What would you do when you awakened? What would you think when you saw another human being for the first time? How would you support yourself from then on? Inquiring minds want to know.

241011 A Story You Finish
Suppose you were born in a cave and never left until you were fully grown.

Do you think we would adjust to this new world? I think we would.
ReplyDeleteI believe we would, especially in this case because we would not have any preconceived ideas that would make it difficult to adjust to the new world.
