Every dog has its day,
That’s when the dog will pay.
Mom was referring to people who do wrong,
And cause others harm.
I believed her back then,
Maybe it happens, but when?
I’ve known many people in the life I’ve had,
Most were good, some were bad.
Did the bad ever pay for what they did in their day?
Not that I know of, I'm sad to say.
The good ones have their share of unpleasantry,
So why does that have to be?
Does that mean that karma is untrue?
It’s just that karma doesn’t measure its time as me and you.
Will the bad people ever have to pay?
They will and they have to worry about that every day.
