I don’t remember when this came to me, but I know it is true.

You never know when you do an act

What the result will be

But with every deed

You sow a seed

The result of which you may never see.

Everything we do or say in life has an effect on someone else. You may live your entire life and never realize who your actions affected another person, but they do. You could have made them change for the better.

I know of three times I helped change someone for the better, because they told me so. I don’t know if I ever caused another person to change for the worse and I am glad that I don’t know. That would hurt me to know.

It costs nothing to say a kind word to someone and it usually helps brighten their day. The benefit is it will make you feel better too. The world would be a better place to live if we all acted in a kind way. I try to do my part, won’t you join me?

One last thought, never lie to people, it never turns out right and it harms the person you lie to and it hurts you too.

Well now, I think it’s time to climb down from my soapbox and return to obscurity.
