Infinity

that sounds as far out as anything can be

it’s like an eternity

while our lifetime is less than a nano-second for you and me

it seems like it took a long time for me to get this old

but it’s less than a heartbeat in universal time I’m told

the universe has been expanding for billions of years

and it all started with just two colliding spheres

where they came from is theoretical at best

but they continue going without a day of rest

some day, not so far away

I’ll not be able to hold the laws of nature at bay

my life will then transcend

but infinity will never end
