Today is the 52nd anniversary of my enlisting in the navy. I look back and can hardly imagine it has been that long. I am 70 years old at this point and I do not know where the time has gone. I have lived a good life with few regrets. My navy time seems to get better with each year. I know there were bad times, but those are mostly forgotten. We never know what the future will be or if there will be a future at this age, but I have many fond memories, a great woman and a place to live, so I have nothing to complain about at the moment. Making memories is sound advice for any young person because at my age people need a lot of great memories.
