Lessons

I don’t know where I am going
But I’m in the boat and just keep on rowing
I just know where I’ve been so far
In golfer’s terms, I’m just about par

I wonder about the world, about how it should be
I see other’s situations, and thank God it’s not me
Some excel in areas beyond my dreams
Yet they fail at basics or so it seems

Common wisdom states we have one life to live
But it takes more than one life to learn to give
We get one childhood, adulthood and one old age
But one experience set, can hardly fill a page

Experience is perhaps the greatest teacher of all
The lessons of experience are learned after we fall
I’m not telling you this to make me feel tall
I’m just saying live your life and have a ball
