Things growing and thriving on the farm today, August 4, 2013

Sunday August 4, 2013 caught a few pictures of things growing on the farm today.
This is called a passion flower around here.
.

This is the fruit of the passion flowering vine that seems to grow everywhere around here.

This is a surprise lily, what some folks call a naked lady because it has no foliage of its own.

This plant is totally unknown and never been seen by us before. It is a nasty thistle like plant with thorns everywhere on the plant. I am guessing it came from somewhere out west when the drought forced farmers to import hay from wherever they could get it.

Finally this is something we planted and grew here. It is a white crepe myrtle.
