The Newness of Spring

A week or so ago I could see the ground on the hillside an eighth of a mile away. Today even though there are no leaves yet on those trees, the buds have swelled enough that the dirt on the hillside is no longer visible. The brown grass closer in is being overtaken by the green, just in time for Saint Patrick's day.
