I never used it until I was in the navy. That was the first time I ever heard it being used. However it is a common word used as an adjective, as a noun or as a question.
Once this sailor was home from the sea it was never used until I became an old man and now it slips out on occasion of stress or frustration.
Hollywood movies were at one time devoid of the word. Movies were so uptight that married people in movies if they were in the bedroom they could only sit at the edge of the bed with both feet on the floor. Married people always had separate beds.
Now, the normal films show not just two people in one bed, but the couple are having coitus in bed and even having orgasm (well fake orgasm anyway). The movies aren’t X rated, but labeled as parental guidance.
