No two lives are the same.
We all have a past, a present and a future. The present is all we have at any moment in time.
Some of us dwell on what they want in the future, while others, their time is spent thinking of the past.
When I was a young man, I thought about what I wanted in my future. I was lucky that I achieved everything that I wanted to have and more. I made my share of mistakes and my quest was never on an upward curve. I often got slapped down and then had to work my way back to where I was before continuing onward.
Now I have nothing more to desire. I’m living in the present, but still relishing my past. What the future may bring to me, I have no idea if there will even be a future for me. I’m happy living in the present with what I have. It’s far from being perfect, but it is what it is and I am happy with that.
I’m not a wealthy man, never wanted to be one once I realized wealthy men or women aren’t happy because enough is never enough for them. They always want more.
I hope each of you who read this has what makes you happy. Being satisfied with what or who you have in life is, I believe, the best thing about life.
