240531 Once in a lifetime

Once is more than enough.

At 11:30 last night I heard a woman scream as she pounded on my door. I went to the door and looked through the peephole and to my surprise this very attractive thirtyish woman was standing naked at my front door.

I stepped back to overthink this situation, as my hand was reaching to open the door. I opened the door and she rushed in as she said, “Hurry, lock the door its after me.” I locked the door. Soon after, a gray cloud was coming under the door and rising into the room. I stared at it for a moment and noticed there was a shadow of a hideous figure starting to appear.

We looked at each other and I fled for the bedroom with her just behind me. We peeked back at the door and the gray shadow was forming into a monstrous, demonic looking creature.

I picked up a chair and threw it out the window. I crawled out. I turned to help her out of the window, but she was no longer there. I ran across a field and layed down in the grass beside a wall.

The next morning I awakened and walked back to the open window. Inside I walked through the apartment. In the kitchen, I found human bones in a pile. The bones were nearly picked clean except for small bits of flesh around knuckle joints.

Sitting down I pondered the situation. Call the police? No, they would wonder about my sanity or even arrest me as a murder suspect. Instead, I grabbed a large gray sack and put the bones into it, then took it the dumpster across the parking lot. Next I called maintenance to fix the window. The maintenance guy arrived and repaired the window.

Now as I sit down and try to analyze what happened; frankly, I don’t think there is an answer to this strange event. It is beyond belief and yet it happened and I doubt if anyone would believe it. Some might think I had a mental meltdown. Am I on my way to the crazy house? That may not be up to me.
