It is Sunday January 17, 2016 and I am watching the start of the Seattle-Carolina NFL game. The announcer calls for fans and players to stand for the national anthem. I see camera views of the players. Few if any have their hands over their heart, all are in motion of some kind and Pete Carroll, head coach of Seattle looks like a homeless man searching for aluminum cans in a alley.
I do not know about you, but I find this offensive. Here they are in the greatest country in the world, given opportunities available only to the very few and yet they cannot spend one minute in honor of their country. I think this is disgraceful! In my mind, it is disrespect for the country, the veterans who defend it and the people who support the NFL.
If there is an excuse for this kind of behavior, I would like to know what it is.
